Dominik Wagner

Vienna-born double bassist DOMINIK WAGNER presents his instrument in a new light to a growing number of international audiences. He has been a prizewinner in almost all double bass competitions, including the ARD International Music Competition, and has been awarded the prestigious German prizes ECHO KLASSIK and OPUS KLASSIK. Dominik Wagner is a scholarship holder of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation. As a soloist, he has performed in the most well-known international classical music venues, ranging from the Philharmonie Berlin to Carnegie Hall. Wagner was appointed professor of double bass at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2024.
